A comprehensive guide for submitting high-quality replication packages for academic journals like the American Economic Journal (AEJ: Micro). This package covers two essential components: self-contained, verifiable proofs for theoretical claims (the Proof Appendix), and a fully reproducible code and data deposit (the Code/Data Repository). It ensures that all numerical results, simulations, and empirical findings can be regenerated by the journal's editor, maintaining the highest standards of scientific transparency.

This package assists researchers in assembling a compliant data and code deposit for AEJ: Economic Policy manuscripts. It ensures adherence to the AEA Data and Code Availability Policy by structuring the openICPSR deposit, generating the required README, and managing restricted data access paths. It is critical for passing the mandated pre-publication reproducibility check.

This guide outlines the comprehensive package structure required for submitting manuscripts to American Economic Review: Insights (AER: Insights). It ensures authors meet the AEA Data and Code Availability Policy, providing all necessary code, raw data access, and documentation (including a master script and exhibit-to-code map) to allow the data editor to verify the reproducibility of every result before publication. It is crucial for passing the final publication gate.

This guide provides comprehensive best practices for preparing supplementary materials for major academic conferences like AISTATS. It details the proper structure and handling of appendices, mathematical proofs, code archives, and additional data tables, ensuring that the main paper remains fully understandable even if the supplementary material is ignored by reviewers. Essential for publishing high-quality, robust research.

This guide details the rigorous data analysis and reporting standards required for top-tier academic journals, such as AJPS. It focuses intensely on reproducibility, ensuring that all results—from primary findings to exploratory models—are generated by a single, seeded master script. Key requirements include reporting uncertainty intervals, proving robustness, adhering to pre-registration discipline, and accommodating mandatory third-party code verification. Use this when conducting complex empirical research in social sciences or political science, needing to withstand intensive methodolo...

Provides a detailed guide on the mandatory pre-publication replication and verification process for American Journal of Political Science (AJPS). It instructs authors on building a robust, reproducible package—including code, data, and documentation—that an independent third party can re-run to confirm all numerical findings match the main text before publication.

A comprehensive guide for strengthening the methodological rigor of academic manuscripts, particularly for high-stakes journals. It covers advanced techniques for causal identification (e.g., Difference-in-Differences, Instrumental Variables, Regression Discontinuity), pre-analysis planning, linking theory to empirical tests, and defending claims against skeptical reviewers. This skill focuses on methodological architecture, not code.

This guide outlines the stringent standards for creating tables and figures (exhibits) for the American Journal of Political Science (AJPS). It emphasizes that exhibits must be self-contained, highly accessible, and, critically, regenerated exactly by deposited code for third-party verification. It provides best practices for structuring research results, managing word counts by differentiating between core arguments in the main text and supporting details in the Supporting Information (SI).

A methodological guide for documenting the rigor of literature reviews, especially in sociology. It details how to build a comprehensive 'coverage account' (a near-PRISMA record of the search process) and how to ensure any quantitative synthesis (meta-analysis, bibliometrics) conducted within the review is fully reproducible by depositing data and code.

A comprehensive guide to adhering to ASA/ASR data-sharing and transparency standards for social science research. It helps users prepare thorough documentation, define data provenance (codebooks, scripts), manage confidentiality constraints (IRB, proprietary data), and ethically prepare materials for academic publication. Use this when structuring a manuscript's data section or anticipating reviewer questions about data verification.

A comprehensive guide detailing the selection of appropriate statistical estimators (e.g., DiD, Panel FE, ANOVA) for various research designs. It also outlines rigorous best practices for ensuring data integrity, conducting robustness checks, and adhering to journal code-sharing policies, ensuring highly reproducible empirical research.

This guide outlines the standardized requirements for declaring data and code availability in major scientific publications. It details mandatory best practices, including depositing raw data (e.g., sequencing, structures) and analysis code into approved, citable public repositories (such as GEO, PDB, Mendeley Data, and Zenodo). It also provides the required standardized three-bullet statement format for ensuring reproducibility.
