Statsmodels is a comprehensive Python library dedicated to advanced statistical modeling and econometrics. It provides tools for rigorous statistical inference, including Ordinary Least Squares (OLS), Generalized Linear Models (GLM), mixed-effects models, and time series analysis (ARIMA). Use this skill for detailed diagnostics, coefficient estimation, hypothesis testing, and producing publication-ready statistical reports in fields like econometrics and biostatistics.

Retrieves and analyzes Cancer Dependency Map release data, including CRISPR Chronos gene effects, model annotations, omics biomarkers, and PRISM drug sensitivity for selective dependency and synthetic-lethality analyses.

Perform a priori power analysis to determine required sample sizes for studies. Supports closed-form calculations for t-tests, ANOVA, and regression, plus Monte Carlo simulations for complex models like mixed models and survival analysis. Helps justify sample sizes for grants and protocols by calculating minimum detectable effects and power curves.

A comprehensive guide for authors preparing empirical research manuscripts (especially in accounting). It details best practices for structuring main tables (keeping them lean), transforming statistical coefficients into interpretable economic magnitudes, and properly visualizing dynamic effects using event study graphs. It emphasizes moving beyond simple significance stars to provide deep academic context.

A comprehensive framework for translating reduced-form causal estimates (e.g., elasticity, treatment effects) into explicit policy statements. It guides researchers on building clear welfare, cost-benefit, or optimal-policy models, defining sufficient statistics, and articulating distributional effects, ensuring policy claims are rigorously grounded in empirical data.

This guide provides a comprehensive framework for conducting rigorous statistical analysis and ensuring methodological validity for empirical manuscripts. It covers establishing measurement validity (CFA, reliability), selecting appropriate estimators (SEM, HLM, IV), addressing biases (CMB, endogeneity), and robust reporting of complex effects (mediation, moderation) required for top-tier academic journals.

This guide provides comprehensive methodological frameworks for designing rigorous empirical studies suitable for top-tier academic journals. It helps researchers match theoretical claims (e.g., causal effects, cross-level dynamics) to appropriate designs (experiments, panel data, qualitative analysis). It details how to proactively address major threats like Common-Method Bias, Endogeneity, and inconsistent levels of analysis, ensuring high internal and external validity.

A comprehensive guide for authors submitting to the American Political Science Review (APSR). It outlines best practices for creating self-contained, accessible, and statistically rigorous tables and figures. The resource emphasizes principles like maintaining word-count compliance, ensuring reproducibility, and presenting complex results (like treatment effects) using appropriate visualizations.

A comprehensive guide for correcting bias in Difference-in-Differences (DID) analysis conducted with staggered adoption timing or heterogeneous treatment effects. This methodology replaces the biased Two-Way Fixed Effects (TWFE) approach with modern estimators such as Callaway–Sant'Anna, de Chaisemartin–D'Haultfœuille, and Sun–Abraham, ensuring compliance with advanced econometric standards.

A comprehensive guide for rigorous data analysis execution and reporting in criminology research. This skill covers advanced econometric techniques required for analyzing complex crime data, including count models (Negative Binomial, Zero-Inflated), fixed-effects panel data, and survival/recidivism modeling. It emphasizes transparently reporting uncertainty, addressing selection bias, and ensuring methods are fully reproducible for expert peer review.

This skill guides authors through defending complex research designs in Criminology. It covers advanced quantitative methods (e.g., DiD, IV, RDD, fixed effects), longitudinal analyses, and qualitative case studies. It teaches how to establish causal identification, address selection bias, and argue against rival theories, ensuring methodological rigor for high-impact academic submissions.

This guide provides an expert framework for advanced econometric analysis, focusing on establishing causal inference in fields like finance and trade. It details best practices for quasi-experimental designs (DID, IV, RDD, DML) and rigorously addresses common endogeneity issues such as policy bias, reverse causality, and anticipation effects, ensuring robust research methodology.
