A rigorous guide for academic researchers on establishing and testing the role of information mechanisms in accounting literature. It outlines how to shift focus from general pricing or financing channels to specific information channels—such as reducing information asymmetry, improving disclosure quality, or constraining earnings management. Provides advanced methodologies, including direct measurement of information variables and cross-sectional cutoff analysis.

This comprehensive guide details the methodological requirements for building a robust robustness section in accounting and empirical research manuscripts. It covers four critical pillars: substituting accounting measures, controlling for institutional/governance variables, executing placebo tests, and advanced endogeneity follow-ups. It helps authors ensure their primary findings withstand stringent academic scrutiny.

This comprehensive guide serves as a critical pre-submission checklist for academic papers targeting high-tier journals, such as *Accounting Research*. It meticulously details complex formatting conventions, including footnote practices, author-date citation styles, abstract length limits, and required article length. The guide also emphasizes critical steps like ensuring double-blind anonymity and adhering strictly to the journal's online submission system, helping authors avoid common rejection reasons related to format and identity leakage.

A comprehensive guide for authors preparing empirical research manuscripts (especially in accounting). It details best practices for structuring main tables (keeping them lean), transforming statistical coefficients into interpretable economic magnitudes, and properly visualizing dynamic effects using event study graphs. It emphasizes moving beyond simple significance stars to provide deep academic context.

This guide helps researchers elevate general empirical ideas (e.g., 'X affects Y') into rigorous, theory-driven accounting contributions. It outlines four sources of academic contribution, identifies key areas (auditing, financial accounting, governance), and teaches how to anchor research in specific accounting mechanisms and China's institutional context, meeting the standards of top-tier accounting journals.

This guide acts as a specialized router for structuring academic manuscripts aiming for top-tier journals, such as 'Accounting Research'. It assesses the paper's fit, guides the sequence of methodological steps (e.g., measurement, identification, mechanism), and suggests addressing weaknesses like institutional context or empirical contributions. It helps users navigate the complex academic publishing journey from initial idea to final submission and rebuttal.

Provides comprehensive guidelines for executing and reporting findings in complex, multi-disciplinary academic manuscripts, particularly in anthropology. It emphasizes grounding every claim in specific evidence (fieldnotes, artifacts, measurements), accounting for alternative readings, and maintaining ethical care for sources and participants. Essential for mixed-methods and expert anonymous review processes.

This guide teaches researchers how to articulate the core conceptual contribution of their work, especially for manuscripts in Accounting, Organizations, and Society (AOS). It moves beyond simply reporting findings or extending literature, helping the user synthesize solid evidence into a single, compelling, and conceptually deep claim that shifts the field’s understanding of accounting's social or organizational mechanisms. It is essential for structuring the discussion section's intellectual payoff.

A comprehensive guide for conducting rigorous analysis for Accounting, Organizations, and Society (AOS) manuscripts. It covers both qualitative methods—such as coding, building evidence chains, and weighing counter-evidence—and quantitative techniques, including experimental, survey, and archival model estimation. The focus is on maintaining a fully reproducible audit trail and reconciling mixed-methods findings.

This guide instructs authors on how to precisely situate their manuscript within the established, interdisciplinary conversations of the Accounting, Organizations and Society (AOS) journal. It emphasizes the necessity of engaging the specific historical canon, citing core primary social-science theories, and critically defining the 'delta'—the precise conceptual advance—compared to 2-3 immediate prior works. This is a structural guide for advanced academic writing.

This guide provides comprehensive methodological blueprints for designing scholarly manuscripts submitted to Accounting, Organizations and Society (AOS). It covers various research paradigms, including qualitative field studies, behavioral experiments, surveys, and historical/archival inquiries. Emphasis is placed on rigorous planning, ethical considerations (IRB approval, consent, anonymity), and maintaining theoretical alignment between the research design and the core argument, helping researchers avoid methodological pitfalls.

A comprehensive preflight checklist designed for authors submitting manuscripts to the Accounting, Organizations and Society (AOS) journal via Editorial Manager. It verifies all necessary components, including double-anonymization compliance, declarations (AI, ethics, interests), article types, and open-access decisions, ensuring readiness before the final submission.
