Statsmodels is a comprehensive Python library dedicated to advanced statistical modeling and econometrics. It provides tools for rigorous statistical inference, including Ordinary Least Squares (OLS), Generalized Linear Models (GLM), mixed-effects models, and time series analysis (ARIMA). Use this skill for detailed diagnostics, coefficient estimation, hypothesis testing, and producing publication-ready statistical reports in fields like econometrics and biostatistics.

Python library skill for statistical modeling and econometrics: OLS/GLM/mixed models, discrete choice, ARIMA time series, diagnostics, residuals, and inference with coefficient tables.

This guide details how to construct a sophisticated and rigorous robustness suite for top-tier academic econometrics journals (e.g., AEJ: Applied). It moves beyond simple regression tables, providing targeted checks against common methodological threats such as omitted variables, specification search, functional form choices, and incorrect statistical inference. The goal is to systematically demonstrate that the main point estimate is stable, reliable, and not an artifact of the research design.

A comprehensive guide for authors aiming to rigorously prove the validity and robustness of their economic findings for top-tier journals. It covers three major pillars: pure theory (identifying load-bearing assumptions), structural econometrics (mapping parameters to data features), and experimental design (defining the estimand). Learn how to move beyond 'convergence' and establish true identification.

A comprehensive guide for transforming complex regression results into self-contained, highly legible figures suitable for top-tier academic journals. It focuses on best practices for visualizing causal inference results (DID, RDD, IV), ensuring that the main findings can be understood by the reader simply by viewing the figure, independent of the surrounding text. Ideal for researchers in econometrics and social sciences.

This tool acts as a workflow router for submitting manuscripts to the China Economic Quarterly (CEQ). It guides researchers through the entire academic publishing process, from initial topic positioning and literature review to advanced econometrics, figure creation, and handling reviewer reports (R&R). It ensures the manuscript meets the high standards of international dialogue and robust identification required by top-tier Chinese academic journals.

A comprehensive guide for finalizing empirical tables and figures for high-level academic journals. It mandates moving beyond mere statistical significance by requiring deep economic interpretation (magnitude analysis). Covers three-line table conventions, proper event-study plot construction (CI and time markers), and precise variable sourcing (formula and database name) to ensure publication readiness.

This workflow acts as a sophisticated router for academic manuscripts targeting high-level Chinese journals, specifically focusing on Finance and Trade Economics. It guides users through the entire writing lifecycle—from initial topic selection and literature review to rigorous econometrics (DID/IV/RDD), mechanism testing, and policy implication phrasing. When unsure of the next step or stuck on a bottleneck (e.g., weak identification, generic policy statements), it diagnoses the issue and directs the user to the most relevant specialized skill.

This skill is a comprehensive guide for authors targeting top-tier academic journals, such as Econometrica. It provides a rigorous checklist covering the required depth of econometric theory, the novelty of identification results, structural modeling requirements, and the necessary formal structure (proofs, asymptotics, supplementary materials). Use this tool to re-frame and vet manuscripts against the highest academic standards.

A comprehensive guide to the rigorous theoretical foundations required in advanced econometrics and theoretical statistics. It covers proving identification conditions (parameter uniqueness), deriving limiting distributions (asymptotics), and establishing existence and uniqueness from fundamental axioms. Essential for manuscripts requiring deep methodological proof, particularly for top-tier academic journals.

This comprehensive guide teaches authors how to structure a professional rebuttal letter and perform rigorous revisions following referee reports, particularly in econometrics. It details how to address proof gaps, incorporate new evidence, and maintain consistency across the entire manuscript package.

Provides a comprehensive guide on generating and reporting rigorous Monte Carlo and finite-sample evidence for econometrics and statistical methods papers. It details best practices for designing simulations, stress-testing assumption boundaries (degenerate cases), comparing against existing estimators, and ensuring full reproducibility to validate theoretical results for realistic sample sizes.
