A comprehensive guide for constructing and applying structural models in health economics, particularly for interpreting empirical estimates or running policy counterfactuals. It covers core archetypes—including demand-selection, provider incentives, and human capital—and emphasizes critical rigor, such as parameter identification, adherence to institutional rules (e.g., risk adjustment), and defending policy-invariance (Lucas critique).

This guide provides a rigorous framework for researchers to determine if their work constitutes a genuine health-economics contribution for a specialized journal like JHE. It moves beyond simply having health data, instead focusing on whether the core economic mechanism relates to insurance design, provider incentives, market structure, or health behaviors. It helps refine the research question and position the paper against other related fields.

This router guides researchers through the entire lifecycle of writing and submitting a manuscript for the Journal of Health Economics (JHE). It identifies the optimal next step—from initial topic selection and causal design establishment to literature positioning, robustness testing, and handling referee revisions (R&R). It ensures the paper meets the rigorous standards of health economics, guaranteeing a structured, step-by-step approach for maximum publication success.

This style guide helps authors structure and write manuscripts for health economics journals, specifically addressing the unique needs of specialist reviewers. It focuses on ensuring the policy relevance, the empirical contribution, and the institutional grounding of the research are immediately clear, particularly in the abstract and introduction.

This tool guides researchers on whether their academic topic aligns with the scope of an empirical microeconomics journal, specifically the Journal of Human Resources (JHR). It emphasizes that the research must focus on policy-relevant, causal questions in core fields (e.g., labor, health, education), strictly differentiating it from purely organizational behavior or 'HR management' studies. It serves as a critical gatekeeper before formal submission.

This guide details the scope and requirements for submitting to the Journal of Chengdu Sport University. The journal excels in areas like sport history, ethnic traditional sports, martial arts, and traditional health culture. It is best suited for academically rigorous papers that utilize historical or ethnographic methods to connect deep cultural roots with modern sports science.

A comprehensive tool designed for authors to assess whether their health-economics manuscript meets the stringent standards of top journals like the Journal of Health Economics (JHE). It guides authors on framing the contribution, ensuring robust causal identification (e.g., IV, DiD, RDD), combining policy relevance with state-of-the-art econometrics, and navigating house style and potential desk-reject risks.

A specialized tool for applied microeconomists to assess the suitability of their empirical work—covering labor, education, health, and welfare—for the Journal of Human Resources (JHR). It evaluates the paper's fit, methodological rigor, identification strategy, and policy relevance, providing actionable advice on framing and alternative submissions.

This guide targets the Journal of Physical Education, a CSSCI-level journal emphasizing school physical education, sport humanities, and social science. It is ideal for researchers studying PE reform, youth fitness, and sport policy. Submissions must demonstrate strong theoretical grounding and problem consciousness, analyzing educational, social, or health mechanisms rather than merely summarizing teaching experiences.

A detailed guide for researchers preparing manuscripts for public economics journals (e.g., JPubE). It outlines best practices for creating a fully auditable, reproducible research package, focusing on data-availability statements, handling restricted administrative data (like tax or health records), and adhering to journal Option C requirements.

A rigorous pre-writing framework used by researchers to stress-test a study's significance against the high standards of top-tier medical journals (e.g., The Lancet). It assesses whether the work is clinically important, globally relevant, likely to change policy, and addresses health equity, preventing wasted research efforts on unsuitable manuscripts.

A mandatory skill for original research articles, designed to create The Lancet's signature 'Research in context' panel. This panel forces authors to synthesize their findings within a systematic evidence base by detailing what was known previously (with documented search strategies), outlining the specific added value of the current study, and discussing the collective implications for clinical practice and public health policy.
