Skill UI

A comprehensive guide for authors targeting JMCB, focusing on monetary economics, banking, and macro-finance. This skill helps assess if a manuscript meets the journal's standards regarding policy relevance, empirical rigor (e.g., identification strategies like SVAR/DiD), and structural framing. It guides authors on positioning their findings against current academic frontiers.

This comprehensive skill guides researchers through assessing whether their operations and supply chain manuscript meets the rigorous standards of the Journal of Operations Management (JOM). It covers key areas including theoretical framing, empirical rigor (e.g., common-method bias, identification), structural best practices, and common desk-reject triggers, helping authors refine their work for high-impact academic publishing.

This skill is a comprehensive guide for authors submitting manuscripts to top public economics journals, such as the Journal of Public Economics (JPubE). It evaluates the manuscript's fit, framing, methodological rigor, and policy relevance. It goes beyond simple estimates, focusing on establishing a public-finance mechanism, ensuring credible identification (e.g., DiD, RDD), and connecting findings explicitly to welfare or optimal policy outcomes. Use this when targeting highly specialized public-finance venues and needing to refine the narrative structure and empirical arguments.

A comprehensive skill designed for academics submitting papers in urban, regional, or spatial economics. It guides authors through evaluating their manuscript's suitability for the Journal of Urban Economics (JUE). The tool emphasizes the necessity of a credible spatial mechanism, robust identification methods (e.g., DiD, RDD), and adherence to high-level empirical and structural modeling standards required by top-tier journals.

Provides a comprehensive guide for drafting a robust "Revise and Resubmit" rebuttal letter, especially for cross-disciplinary journals. It teaches authors how to simultaneously satisfy both methodology (identification) and policy relevance reviewers, protecting the core findings while addressing every comment point-by-point with evidence and reasoned arguments.

A comprehensive guide to defending causal claims in policy and program evaluation, adhering to rigorous econometric standards (e.g., JPAM). It covers advanced methods such as RCT, Difference-in-Differences (DiD), Regression Discontinuity (RDD), Instrumental Variables (IV), and Synthetic Control. This guide emphasizes stating the estimand, defending identification assumptions, and robustly ruling out alternative causal explanations, rather than just writing estimation code.

An essential orchestrator for authors submitting to the Journal of Policy Analysis and Management (JPAM). This skill guides authors through the entire academic writing lifecycle, routing them based on the article type, stage, and required methodological rigor. It ensures the paper maintains strong policy relevance and credible causal identification, bridging economics, political science, and public management.

A comprehensive guide to strengthening research designs for public administration manuscripts, particularly for rigorous journals that emphasize experimental and causal identification. It covers experimental designs, causal observational methods (DID, IV, RDD), multilevel modeling, and mixed methods, providing frameworks to defend against common methodological biases and rival explanations.

A comprehensive guide for strengthening empirical causal claims for top-tier economics journals. This framework teaches how to move beyond simple OLS regressions by rigorously testing for causal identification (e.g., DID, IV, RDD) and, crucially, mapping the statistical estimate back to a meaningful economic parameter or mechanism. It emphasizes the dual requirement of credible identification and deep economic interpretability.

This guide structures the entire process of responding to a Journal of Political Economy (JPE) decision letter (R&R or reject). It provides a detailed, point-by-point framework for drafting the response letter, organizing revisions, and strategically addressing tough academic demands like strengthening mechanisms, general equilibrium, and identification.

This skill guides the user through the entire writing and revision process for a submission to the Journal of Political Economy (JPE). It acts as a navigation tool, determining the next specialized step—from topic selection and literature positioning to empirical identification and rebuttal—ensuring the manuscript meets JPE's high standards.

This guide provides comprehensive methodology for advanced empirical analysis in Public Economics, particularly for manuscripts using large administrative or register microdata. It covers advanced topics like estimating behavioral elasticities, calculating welfare metrics (MVPF, DWL), and ensuring robust causal identification strategies. It emphasizes translating raw coefficients into policy-relevant quantities with rigorous uncertainty quantification.
