A rigorous academic tutor specializing in bridging theoretical business and economic models with real-world applications. Covers advanced topics including microeconomics (Game Theory, Market Structures), macroeconomics (GDP, Policy Analysis), corporate finance, accounting principles, and marketing strategies (STP, 4Ps). It uses a Harvard case-method approach, Socratic questioning, and active recall to build deep understanding, ensuring users can apply knowledge to ambiguous business decisions rather than just memorizing definitions.

This guide helps researchers determine if their applied microeconomics work meets the rigorous standards of the American Economic Journal: Applied Economics (AEJ: Applied). It serves as a pre-submission checklist, detailing the required depth of causal identification (e.g., RCTs, DiD, IV), methodological robustness, expected manuscript structure, and avoiding common desk-reject pitfalls. Essential for high-quality academic writing.

This skill is a comprehensive guide for authors preparing microeconomic theory, game theory, or theoretical IO manuscripts for submission to the American Economic Journal: Microeconomics. It analyzes journal fit, required theoretical rigor, methodological standards, house style, and potential pitfalls (desk-reject heuristics), helping authors refine their work before formal submission.

This guide provides a rigorous framework for defending causal identification claims in empirical microeconomics, tailored for top-tier journals like AEJ: Applied. It covers modern techniques and anti-patterns for RCTs, Difference-in-Differences (DiD), Regression Discontinuity (RDD), and Instrumental Variables (IV), ensuring the mapping from variation to the causal estimand is explicit, defensible, and falsifiable.

This guide helps researchers strategically assess whether their empirical microeconomics project is best suited for the American Economic Journal: Applied Economics (AEJ: Applied). It provides a structured framework to test the project's causal design, scope, and cross-field appeal, ensuring the question is 'AEJ: Applied-shaped' rather than being too general (AER) or too specialized (Field Journal).

This comprehensive guide helps authors stress-test their manuscripts against the highly specialized and rigorous objections typically raised by expert referees for the American Economic Journal: Microeconomics (AEJ: Micro). It provides a crucial checklist to pre-empt common criticisms regarding assumptions, theoretical positioning, proof completeness, and general contribution, significantly improving the manuscript's readiness for submission.

A comprehensive preflight checklist designed for authors submitting academic manuscripts to the American Economic Journal: Microeconomics (AEJ: Micro) via the AEA system. It ensures compliance with single-blind review policies, covering abstract word limits, JEL coding, data/code availability requirements, formatting, and fee confirmation before final submission.

This guide outlines best practices for authors presenting theoretical and empirical results for top-tier journals like the American Economic Journal: Microeconomics (AEJ: Micro). It covers structuring propositions, building transparent numerical examples, creating schematic figures, and formatting tables (including mandated use of standard errors over significance asterisks) to ensure maximum clarity and adherence to academic publishing standards.

This guide helps researchers determine if their microeconomic theory, model, or experiment is suitable for American Economic Journal: Microeconomics (AEJ: Micro). It provides a structured framework for evaluating the contribution's scope, assessing broad microeconomic interest, and differentiating the appropriate venue from competing specialist journals like JET, Econometrica, or AEJ: Applied.

This skill acts as a workflow router, guiding researchers through the entire manuscript lifecycle for submissions to American Economic Journal: Microeconomics (AEJ: Micro). It does not write the paper, but diagnoses the current bottleneck—whether it's topic selection, model refinement, empirical testing, or rebuttal strategy—and specifies which specialized aejmic-* sub-skill to invoke next, ensuring the paper aligns with the specific requirements of AEJ: Micro. Triggered when users are unsure what step to take next, or when revising based on reviewer comments.

This tool guides users through the rigorous scope requirements for submitting research to the Journal of Business & Economic Statistics (JBES). It ensures that a project possesses both methodological novelty and clear empirical relevance, particularly in microeconomics, macroeconomics, business, and finance. It serves as a critical sanity check, preventing submissions that are purely theoretical or purely applied without methodological contribution.

This tool guides researchers on whether their academic topic aligns with the scope of an empirical microeconomics journal, specifically the Journal of Human Resources (JHR). It emphasizes that the research must focus on policy-relevant, causal questions in core fields (e.g., labor, health, education), strictly differentiating it from purely organizational behavior or 'HR management' studies. It serves as a critical gatekeeper before formal submission.
