This comprehensive guide addresses the unique challenges of submitting research to top-tier conferences that do not include formal author-response or major revision rounds. It teaches authors a proactive strategy: how to pre-empt potential reviewer objections (e.g., novelty, scope limitations) by embedding necessary arguments, proofs, and context directly into the initial submission. Furthermore, it provides actionable plans for navigating both acceptance (camera-ready fixes) and rejection (diagnosis and strategic rerouting) without relying on traditional appeal processes.

A comprehensive guide for authors submitting to top-tier chemistry journals like JACS. This skill helps authors pre-empt reviewer objections, select appropriate suggested and excluded experts, and rigorously stress-test the manuscript's scope, characterization, and mechanistic claims before formal submission. It transforms the writing process into a defensible, high-quality academic product.

This guide provides a comprehensive strategy for authors responding to a high-stakes 'Revise and Resubmit' (R&R) decision from an International Organization (IO) journal. It details how to structure the rebuttal memo, address conflicting expert reviews (e.g., rationalist vs. constructivist), and defend the manuscript's core theoretical contribution while maintaining academic transparency and verifiability.

This guide details the rigorous, reproducible empirical strategies required to identify causal parameters in applied econometrics, meeting high standards (e.g., JAE). It covers various designs—including DID, IV, panel data, and time-series—and mandates that every assumption and diagnostic test must be explicitly stated, tested, and reproducible using deposited code/data.

A comprehensive orchestrator skill guiding the entire lifecycle of an applied econometrics manuscript targeting the Journal of Applied Econometrics (JAE). It ensures the paper maintains an applied, real-data focus and rigorously follows the necessary steps, including literature positioning, identification strategy, reproducible data analysis, and mandatory data archival deposit. Designed to prevent common pitfalls by integrating data integrity checks at every stage.

A comprehensive guide for refining academic manuscripts, specifically tailored for top-tier accounting journals (e.g., JAR). It instructs authors on restructuring their introductions to immediately front-load the research question, setting, identification strategy, and key findings. It covers advanced academic writing conventions, rigorous signposting, and adherence to specialized house styles.

This comprehensive guide details the rigorous methodological standards required for validating new statistical estimators, tests, or algorithms. It moves beyond simple causal inference, emphasizing foundational proofs of identification, regularity conditions, asymptotic consistency, and finite-sample robustness. It serves as a checklist for assuring the credibility and reliability of methods in academic statistical journals.

A comprehensive guide for stress-testing and defending empirical identification strategies in finance and economics manuscripts. It covers advanced econometric techniques such as Staggered DiD, Instrumental Variables (IV), Regression Discontinuity Design (RDD), and Event Studies, providing actionable advice on fixed effects, clustering, necessary robustness checks, and anticipating referee challenges.

A comprehensive workflow router designed for academic researchers submitting manuscripts to the Journal of Banking & Finance (JBF). This skill guides authors through the entire research lifecycle—from initial topic selection and literature positioning, to robust identification strategy, data analysis, and final rebuttal letter preparation. It ensures the manuscript meets the rigorous standards required by top-tier empirical finance journals.

A comprehensive guide for designing and defending the causal identification strategy in empirical corporate finance research. It covers advanced methods such as Staggered DID, Instrumental Variables (IV), Regression Discontinuity Design (RDD), and Event Studies, providing checklists to address crucial econometric threats like endogeneity, selection bias, and reverse causality for high-impact publications.

A comprehensive guide for structuring and writing rebuttal letters when responding to major revisions (R&R) for top-tier academic journals. It teaches how to transform reviewer concerns into new empirical studies, structure point-by-point responses, and professionally argue a mechanism using evidence rather than rhetoric.

A comprehensive guide to understanding the Journal of Consumer Psychology (JCP) peer review process. This resource helps authors interpret editor decisions (desk-reject, major revision, etc.), sets realistic expectations for the revision timeline, and guides the development of a robust revision strategy, including when new studies are necessary.
