Skill UI

A comprehensive workflow router designed for academic researchers submitting manuscripts to the Journal of Banking & Finance (JBF). This skill guides authors through the entire research lifecycle—from initial topic selection and literature positioning, to robust identification strategy, data analysis, and final rebuttal letter preparation. It ensures the manuscript meets the rigorous standards required by top-tier empirical finance journals.

A comprehensive guide for designing and defending the causal identification strategy in empirical corporate finance research. It covers advanced methods such as Staggered DID, Instrumental Variables (IV), Regression Discontinuity Design (RDD), and Event Studies, providing checklists to address crucial econometric threats like endogeneity, selection bias, and reverse causality for high-impact publications.

A comprehensive guide for structuring and writing rebuttal letters when responding to major revisions (R&R) for top-tier academic journals. It teaches how to transform reviewer concerns into new empirical studies, structure point-by-point responses, and professionally argue a mechanism using evidence rather than rhetoric.

A comprehensive guide to understanding the Journal of Consumer Psychology (JCP) peer review process. This resource helps authors interpret editor decisions (desk-reject, major revision, etc.), sets realistic expectations for the revision timeline, and guides the development of a robust revision strategy, including when new studies are necessary.

This comprehensive guide establishes the rigorous methodological standards for developing credible causal identification strategies in development economics. It details best practices for modern quasi-experimental methods, including RCTs, DID, IV, and RDD. Authors learn how to meet the high empirical norms required by top-tier journals by ensuring robustness, addressing biases (e.g., TWFE), and validating external validity.

A comprehensive guide for drafting rebuttal and revision plans in response to journal decisions, specifically tailored for the Journal of Development Economics (JDE). It provides structured strategies for addressing referee reports, managing conflicting feedback, prioritizing revisions (concede vs. defend), and executing the response letter point-by-point, especially critical for single-round, limited-revision tracks.

A comprehensive workflow guide for authors responding to major journal decision letters (R&R or reject-and-resubmit). This resource provides a structured approach to triaging conflicting referee comments, prioritizing editor concerns, planning necessary new experimental treatments, and crafting a professional, persuasive response letter to maximize publication chances in top-tier academic journals.

This guide helps researchers proactively anticipate the critical objections raised by academic journal referees, especially in behavioral economics. It covers key areas such as demand effects, mechanism separation, external validity, and determining proper journal fit, allowing authors to significantly strengthen their drafts before formal submission.

A comprehensive guide to structuring robustness checks for behavioral economics and empirical research. Instead of merely listing statistical tests, this framework mandates organizing checks by the underlying behavioral threat (e.g., experimenter demand, multiple comparisons, specification choice). It provides specific guidelines for experiments, observational data, and simulations, ensuring that findings are robust against alternative behavioral explanations and methodological choices.

This tool serves as a comprehensive workflow router for authors targeting the Journal of Economic Behavior & Organization (JEBO). It guides users through the entire academic writing process, from initial topic selection and literature positioning to experimental design, robustness checks, and rebuttal strategy, ensuring the manuscript meets the unique methodological requirements of behavioral economics.

This guide provides a comprehensive strategy for handling major revisions (R&R) for high-stakes academic journals like the Journal of Educational Psychology. It covers methodological rigor improvements, structuring the response letter, managing word counts, and maintaining academic transparency while addressing every reviewer comment.

A comprehensive guide to establishing rigorous identification for advanced economic papers, targeting general-interest academic journals. It covers causal inference techniques (DID, IV, RDD), structural parameter identification, and theoretical mechanism rigor, ensuring the link between data/assumptions and results is explicitly defensible.
