A comprehensive guide detailing the high standards required for presenting security evidence at major conferences. It covers methodologies for proving claims—including attacks, defenses, and detection systems—across live internet measurements, controlled testbeds, and emulation. Key requirements include adaptive adversary modeling, rigorous measurement hygiene, and adherence to ethical review protocols to ensure results are reproducible and relevant to real-world networks.

A comprehensive guide for positioning security research submissions (e.g., for NDSS, USENIX). It teaches how to write the 'Related Work' section not as a mere literature review, but as a critical security argument that establishes genuine novelty (the 'delta') by distinguishing mechanisms, layers, and preconditions from prior art. Covers citation verification, handling concurrent work, and double-blind anonymity rules.

A comprehensive guide for researchers to ensure network security findings are reproducible and verifiable. It covers techniques for freezing volatile environments (targets, networks, toolchains), anonymizing sensitive data traces, maintaining a detailed claims ledger, and ethically stating limitations.

This guide details the multi-stage academic review process, covering everything from initial Round 1 screening to deep Round 2 discussions, major revisions, and the role of the Ethics Review Board (ERB). It provides a structured walkthrough of the submission pipeline, helping authors understand the specific criteria and strategic actions needed at each stage to maximize their chances of acceptance.

A comprehensive checklist for authors preparing to submit academic conference papers. This guide details mandatory final audits covering double-blind anonymity, ethical compliance, formatting standards, conflict declarations, and the strict submission timeline, ensuring the paper passes pre-upload quality gates.

This guide helps authors structure highly technical security papers, especially for venues with strict page limits like NDSS. It details how to allocate content across the main body, ethics considerations, and appendices, ensuring the core decision-making arguments remain self-contained and maximally persuasive to reviewers by passing the 'dependency test'.

A comprehensive guide for security researchers to determine the optimal top-tier conference venue for their paper. It provides structured 'fit tests'—including the wire test, deployment envelope test, and adversary ownership test—and a routing table to assess whether the work belongs at NDSS, IEEE S&P, USENIX Security, or related venues, maximizing the chance of successful publication.

This comprehensive guide provides a structured workflow for academic submissions to the NDSS security symposium. It maps out the distinct summer and fall submission cycles, detailing critical milestones from the initial paper deadline through early-reject, rebuttal, notification, and final camera-ready stages. It emphasizes strategic backward planning, managing the sensitive disclosure clock for vulnerabilities, and positioning research within the broader security research lifecycle.

A rigorous guide for drafting academic papers for top-tier security conferences like NDSS. It teaches authors how to structure complex security arguments, define capability-bounded adversaries, quantify claims with evidence, weave ethical considerations into the narrative, and adhere to strict page limits to maximize acceptance chances.

Provides a comprehensive guide for authors targeting The New England Journal of Medicine (NEJM). It outlines the journal's stringent editorial standards, including the required evidence bar, structured abstract formatting, and best practices for clinical manuscript submission, helping authors gauge manuscript fit and preparation needs.

A detailed guide for crafting medical structured abstracts, specifically adhering to the New England Journal of Medicine (NEJM) guidelines. This process ensures the abstract is concise (≤250 words), contains four mandatory sections (Background, Methods, Results, Conclusions), and reports primary outcomes using effect size and 95% CI, rather than relying solely on P-values. It is crucial for late-stage manuscript polish.

This tool converts various academic citation formats (e.g., APA, Harvard) into the specific Vancouver/ICMJE numbered style required by the New England Journal of Medicine (NEJM). It ensures citations are numbered sequentially by appearance, handles limited author lists (first 6 + et al.), uses NLM abbreviations for journals, and performs a comprehensive evidence audit, ensuring the manuscript adheres to the strict standards of high-impact medical publishing.
