Skill UI

This comprehensive skill guides researchers through the submission process for prestigious international finance journals, specifically *Studies of International Finance*. It evaluates the manuscript's fit, checks for necessary global financial perspectives (like currency flows, regulation, and international institutions), and provides essential checklists on formatting, structure, and common rejection pitfalls.

This skill assists software engineers through the entire technical job search cycle. It provides structured analysis for job descriptions (identifying must-haves, red flags), optimizes CVs for specific roles, guides writing compelling cover letters, evaluates total compensation packages, and crafts professional post-interview follow-up emails, ensuring the job search process is professional and highly targeted.

This skill guides authors through the rigorous evaluation process for targeting The Economic Journal (EJ). It assesses whether a manuscript has compelling general interest, sound methodology, and broad applicability beyond a niche field. It covers structural requirements, expected evidence quality, and common submission pitfalls, helping authors strategically position their work for a wide academic readership.

This comprehensive guide details the academic submission lifecycle for USENIX Security. It maps out the multi-stage review pipeline, from initial submission through early rejection to final notification. It critically updates authors on the current decision vocabulary (e.g., Shepherd Approval, retired major revisions), emphasizing mandatory review foci like ethics adequacy, threat-model realism, and openness posture for strategic planning.

This comprehensive guide provides an end-to-end planning framework for USENIX Security Symposium submissions. It assists researchers in selecting the optimal submission cycle, mapping backward timelines from key milestones (like registration), assigning ownership for venue-specific risks (e.g., ethics, reproducibility), and coordinating through the complex post-submission decision process (Accept/Reject).

This guide provides a comprehensive framework for authors responding to major conference reviews (like IEEE VIS). It details the distinct strategies for both first-round rebuttals and mandatory second-round revisions (conditional accept). Learn how to structure summaries of changes, address technical critiques, maintain anonymity, and turn reviewer skepticism into acceptance.

Explains how IEEE VIS full-paper submissions are evaluated: the two-phase TVCG journal-style review, primary/secondary/external reviewer roles, six-area routing through Area Paper Chairs, and the conditional-accept second round.

This skill guides authors through the complex process of law-review placement, focusing on multi-submission market strategies and timing. It provides critical, YLJ-specific advice, covering seasonal cycles (Spring/Fall), the proper use of offers for expediting, and adherence to YLJ's unique submission rules (e.g., no competitive advantage from expediting, anonymized review). It helps authors optimize the entire submission campaign.

This skill guides legal scholars through a systematic preemption check to ensure their academic claim is genuinely novel and not covered by prior work. It simulates comprehensive searches across specialized databases like SSRN, Westlaw, HeinOnline, and Google Scholar. The process helps users accurately draft the critical "what's new" contribution paragraph by classifying the relationship between their claim and existing scholarship.

This guide details the rigorous, multi-round editing process for legal scholars submitting to high-level academic journals like The Yale Law Journal (YLJ). It trains users on navigating substantive critiques, resolving complex source-pull and citation queries, and adapting the writing process for fast-paced online formats (YLJ Forum). The focus is on maintaining legal integrity and argumentative coherence throughout the intensive revision cycle.

This comprehensive skill provides systematic tools for academic research and writing. Users can search major databases (Google Scholar, PubMed), extract accurate metadata from identifiers (DOI, PMID, arXiv), validate existing citations, and generate correctly formatted BibTeX entries. It ensures reproducible research and maintains high citation accuracy throughout the writing process.

This specialized skill traces the complete lifecycle of an uploaded or imported file through complex backend systems. It maps the sequence from ingress to final consumer, tracking every derived artifact, archive extraction, format conversion, parser invocation, and deserialization step. It is crucial for security analysis, vulnerability research, and understanding how a file reaches a decisive backend effect after initial sandbox assumptions are made.
